Leviticus 7 - proverbs 23 – acts 5 – philippians 5

Leviticus 7
- GUILT OFFERINGS:
- Its blood is throw against the alter.
- The fat, kidneys, and liver are burned.
- The rest is for the priests to eat and he may use its skin.
- The grain offerings with and without oil shall be shared among the priests.
- PEACE OFFERINGS:
- If it celebrates a thanksgiving it shall be sacrificed with unleavened bread.
- The priests have to eat the peace offering that day or the second day. The leftovers shall be burned up on the 3rd day. Whoever eats it on the 3rd day is guilty of sin.
- The peace offering is also called a freewill (vow) offering
- If meat touches something unclean or if the person is unclean they shouldn't eat the sacrificed meat.
- If anyone touches any unclean animal or person and then eats sacrificed meat they should be cut off from their people.
- Why weren't the people supposed to eat the fat of an animal?
- How would the people "eat the blood" of an animal? What does this mean?
- WAVE OFFERING:
- a peace offering the breast of meat that is waved.
- Aaron gets the breast
- Right thigh is a contribution to the priests.
- God has ordained that the people give part of what they have to Him and to Aaron's sons.
- Where does it talk about the Ordination Offering?

Proverbs 23
- When eating with a leader be careful how you act.
- Do not covet another's wealth for it will be short lived even if you get it.
- Talking wisdom to a fool is wasting your words.
- Heart should be meditating on Word of God
- Disciplining your child leads to wisdom and life.
- Do not envy sinners but continue in fear of the Lord.
- Drunkard and glutton will come to ruin.
- Listen to your parents and don't despise them.
- How can Solomon tell his son to follow his ways and avoid the adulterous when he had a thousand wives?
- Drunkeness leads to strife, woe, and complaining
- Drunkeness leads to ruin.

Acts 5
- Ananias, with his wife Sapphira sold land and kept part of it for themselves.
- How did they lie when they simply brought the offering?
- How did Satan "trump" the Holy Spirit and was Ananias saved?
- If the money was at Ananias' disposal why was he killed for not giving all of it?
- Ananias died once he heard this rebuke.
- 3 hours later his wife came in and lied about how much the land was sold for and she too died immediatately.
- The people were fearful because of this.
- There were many miracles done at Solomon's Portico.
- People layed their sick in the street and when Peter's shadow touched them they were healed.
- The Sadduccees were jealous and arrested the apostles.
- An angel brought them out of the prison during the night and told them to preach boldly in the temple.
- The prison was locked, guards were in place but the priests didn't find the apostles.
- The captain of the counsel went to the temple and had them come beofre him, not by force because he feared the people uprising.
- The priest charged them with stirring up the people, but they said they must listen to God not men.
- Peter stated the gospel truth about Jesus and the Holy Spirit to the Sadduccees.
- They were angry, but Gamaliel wisely put the apostles outside and reminded the counsel of two recent uprising that had failed in Jerusalem. He also wisely stated to be careful what they did to the apostles for if their plan was their own it would fail but if it was from God it could not be stopped.
- Gamliel even said that the counsel could be found opposing God.
- Why did the counsel still beat them before sending them out?
- The apostles' reaction was to rejoice because they were suffering for the Gospel.

If my calculations are correct my blog is 4 days behind where I should be, not because I haven't been reading, but there have been several days where it takes longer than I have in the morning or the internet is not work, and yeah there were two days where I needed a little more sleep because Callan woke up due to his teething.
